Through our collaboration with the local farmers, we are learning further information about the current agricultural practices and herbicide policies in the region. After talking with the farmer who owns the field, we took several soil samples. We will analyse these samples as part of our ongoing project to determine the effects of agricultural herbicides on the composition and ecosystem functioning of soil microbial communities.
