We concluded a busy week with a tour of Karlsruhe's wastewater treatment plant. The joint excursion included Umweltschutztechnik students of the University of Stuttgart and Water and Science Engineering students of KIT Karlsruhe. Highlights included trickling filters for nitrification, full-scale micropollutant removal, and the charming company of the ducks in the sedimentation tanks.
